Dr. Craig Akin
Dr. Craig grew up in San Antonio and attended San Antonio Christian High School, where he met his beautiful wife, Sara. Throughout middle and high school, Craig experienced several orthopedic injuries that required surgery and rehabilitation. It was during this time that he developed a deep appreciation for exercise, recovery, and the impact physical therapy can have on restoring function and confidence—sparking his passion for the profession.
Craig pursued this passion at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Medicine. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Washington, where he met his best friend and now business partner, Dr. Tim Kudla. Together, they shared a vision of creating a clinic centered around performance, education, and individualized care—leading to the creation of ECHO Physical Therapy & Athletics.
Following graduation, Dr. Craig and Dr. Tim continued to elevate their knowledge and clinical skills through the Institute of Athlete Regeneration Fellowship in Sports and Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Craig is Dry Needling Certified, a Running Rehabilitation Specialist, Advanced RockTape Certified, and Certified in Myofascial Release Techniques. With a wide range of certifications and specialties, Dr. Craig is committed to helping patients advance their exercise potential, condition their bodies, heal injuries, and optimize performance—one appointment at a time.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Craig enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and hiking with his wife and their two Australian Cattle Dogs—and occasionally their cat makes an appearance too.
Dr. Tim Kudla
Dr. Tim grew up in San Antonio and attended Reagan High School before continuing his education at the University of the Incarnate Word, where he played collegiate football and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for physical therapy and helping athletes and active individuals perform at their best.
Dr. Tim went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 from the University of Washington School of Physical Therapy. While there, he met his best friend and now business partner, Craig Akin, and together they shared a vision of building a performance-driven, patient-focused physical therapy clinic—what is now ECHO Physical Therapy & Athletics.
Dr. Tim is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) and holds numerous advanced certifications, including Dry Needling, TPI Certification for Golf Analysis, Running Rehabilitation Specialist, Advanced RockTape Certification, and Myofascial Release Techniques. With a wide range of specialties and a passion for continued learning, Dr. Tim is dedicated to helping patients advance their exercise potential, condition their bodies, heal injuries, and optimize performance—one appointment at a time.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tim has been married to his sweetheart, Jessica, for 12 years and is a proud dad to their two children, Rey and Xander. He loves being outdoors, hunting, and playing golf, and enjoys watching football and basketball—Go Eagles! Go Spurs! In his free time, he can often be found spending quality time with his family and their yellow labs, Duke and Stella, trying new restaurants, visiting breweries and distilleries, and traveling with friends and family.
Jessica Kudla
Jessica attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education in 2012. She brings a strong background in organization, communication, and community connection to the ECHO team.
After spending the past nine years as both a stay-at-home mom and office manager, Jessica joined ECHO Physical Therapy & Athletics as our Operations and Marketing Coordinator. She is the friendly face and voice behind the front office and looks forward to welcoming you at your next appointment. From answering calls and scheduling visits to helping patients get started with ECHO, Jessica is always happy to assist and ensure a smooth, positive experience from day one.
Jessica has been married to Dr. Tim for 12 years and is the proud mom of two amazing kids, Rey and Xander. She is also a devoted dog mom to her two very large pups, Duke and Stella, whom she adores. Outside of the clinic, Jessica enjoys visiting wineries and breweries, traveling, and cooking. Her perfect evening includes relaxing on the back porch with her husband, watching her kids play, and throwing the ball for Duke and Stella!

Dr. Hunter McFall
Hunter grew up in San Antonio, where he attended Clark High School before continuing his education at Lubbock Christian University. There, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science while playing collegiate baseball. He went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2021 from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas.
Following graduation, Hunter completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through IAR and is also certified in Dry Needling. His advanced training and athletic background allow him to bring a well-rounded, hands-on approach to patient care.
Hunter currently lives in Boerne, Texas with his wife, Anais, and their son, Samuel. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys fitness, golf, and spending time outdoors creating memories with his family.
